If your skin is also feeling stretched, then it is a sign that along with skin care, there is a need to change the diet as well. Let us know about some such foods, which will make the skin feel healthy. They contain adequate amounts of vitamins and nutrients, which are important for skin health, with special attention to vitamins A, C, D and E.

What to eat for healthy skin?

1. Sweet Potato

This is the most favorite food item of winter, which is rich in Vitamin A and is helpful in skin repair. It contains beta-carotene, which protects the skin from harsh effects. Sweet potatoes can be eaten roasted or baked. If you want, mix lemon and chaat masala in it for taste.

2. Nuts and Seeds

Nuts and seeds are full of antioxidants, vitamin E and essential fatty acids, which nourish the body as well as the skin from within. Regular consumption helps in repairing skin cells and also promotes new cells. Apart from this, the skin feels smooth and glowing. A handful of almonds, walnuts or sunflower seeds per day is enough.

3. Spinach

This seasonal vegetable is rich in iron. For this, it is also a powerhouse of nutrients, vitamins and minerals including Vitamin E. Vitamins A and C present in spinach initiate and maintain the skin repair process. Spinach is also rich in antioxidants and hydration, which makes the skin glowing.

4. Avocado

Avocado is a favorite of people due to its creamy texture and nutty aroma. It is a rich source of antioxidants, beta-carotene, folate, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin C and vitamin E, which provides extra nourishment to the skin in every season and removes the problem of dryness.

5. Fish

Apart from all the food items given above, fish is also a great option for non-vegetarian people. The essential fatty acids present in it work wonders for skin and hair. Fish is one of the richest sources of omega-3. While including fish in your diet, try to steam it instead of frying it, or grill it with less oil. Consumption of fish also helps in reducing swelling.
