The cause of cough these days is cold or Covid knocking again, know what the statistics say?

Coronavirus Cases: The weather is changing rapidly these days. This season is very dangerous for children and old people due to heat in the afternoon and cold at night. Most of the people are facing problem of cold and cough. If anyone around you or at home has been suffering from cold and cough for a long time, then do not ignore it as normal fever or viral fever, rather get a corona test done.  Corona test is also important because these days corona cases are increasing rapidly in the entire country.

Corona cases are once again increasing rapidly in the northern states of India like Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, Delhi. 63 new Covid-19 cases were registered in Delhi in the last 24 hours. Which is the highest number of cases in the capital since May last year. According to the report, 459 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Delhi in the last 15 days, which was 191 in the last fortnight and 73 in the previous 15-day period. Rajasthan, where Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma tested positive, reported 226 cases in the last 15 days, up from 96 and 27 in the last two fortnights, according to Union Health Ministry data.

Corona cases had increased rapidly in April last year also

According to health experts, tests were continuously decreasing for the past few days due to which the number seemed to be low. Therefore, there is no need to worry too much about the numbers. In May 2023, the daily number of Covid-19 cases in Delhi had increased to more than 50. More than 12,500 cases were reported in India as of 19 April 2023.

Corona cases were also registered in South India

At the beginning of this winter (December-January), cases increased again, although the numbers were very low. The highest daily count during this surge was 841, recorded in India on December 30. At that time, most of the cases were reported from South India, especially Kerala.

After more than two months, apart from Delhi and Rajasthan, the number is also increasing in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Only 12 cases were reported in UP in the 15-day period between January 20 and February 4. It increased to 36 in the next fortnight (February 4-19) and then to 164 in the latest fortnight (February 19-March 5). Similarly, the number of cases found in Bihar has increased from 14 to 103 in the last fortnight. In Karnataka, where cases had increased recently, the infection seems to be decreasing. The state recorded 268 new COVID-19 cases in the latest 15-day period. Which is less than 959 two fortnight ago.

However, the number of cases in Maharashtra has remained relatively stable during the last three fortnight. The state recorded 496 cases in the latest period, up from 466 and 555 in the previous two fortnights. Experts have warned that as Covid becomes endemic, periodic surges are natural and expected. There is currently no information about the viral strain spreading in the northern states.
