On Friday, there was a major attack on the Enforcement Directorate (ED) team which had gone to raid in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. ED officials had arrived here to raid the house of TMC Council’s Fisheries and Animal Resources Officer Shahjahan Shaikh in the ration corruption case. However, a mob of hundreds of people surrounded and attacked the ED officers and security personnel here. Now on this matter, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan has made a big attack on Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool government.
What did Adhir Ranjan say?
On the attack on the ED team in West Bengal today, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Choudhary said that the attack on ED officials by the goons of the ruling party makes it clear that the condition of law and order in the state is getting worse. Adhir said that today ED officers have been injured, tomorrow they may also be killed. Therefore, ED people should now go with more troops.

ED officials had reached Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas district to raid in the ration scam case. When TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh reached his residence, hundreds of people surrounded him and attacked him. The ED team had to leave the spot to save their lives. According to the information, there was a scuffle with ED officials and their car was also vandalized.
BJP state president demands NIA investigation
Regarding the attack on ED officers, Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah demanding an NIA investigation into the matter. Earlier, Majumdar had said that the manner in which the ED was attacked in Sandeshkhali today shows what the Rohingyas are doing to the law and order in the state by entering Bengal. This will happen not only with ED but in the future this will also happen with Bengalis.
