Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Mathura on Thursday evening and visited Shri Krishna’s birthplace and after roaming around the premises, he worshiped the Lord. After this he also participated in the Mirabai Jayanti celebrations. In his address here, the PM described the darshan of Braj as his good fortune. However, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has taken a big dig at PM Modi’s visit. Let us know the whole matter.

What did PM Modi say?

In his address in Mathura, PM Modi said – “For me, coming to this ceremony is special for another reason. From Lord Krishna to Mirabai, Braj has a different relationship with Gujarat. Kanha of Mathura, Dwarkadhish only after visiting Gujarat. Saint Meerabai ji, who came from Rajasthan and spread love in Mathura-Vrindavan, also spent her last life in Dwarka. Devotion to Meera is not complete without Vrindavan.”

Akhilesh’s sarcasm?

Taking a dig at PM Modi’s Braj Darshan, he said that PM Modi is coming here for the first time. What great achievement is there in this, this is a failure. Akhilesh said that there are many people who have been going to Mathura since birth. There are some devotees who circumambulate Govardhan every month. There should be discussion about such people.

Holy pilgrimage did not get importance – PM Modi

Braj region kept the country together even in difficult times. But when the country became independent, this holy pilgrimage did not get the importance it should have. Those who wanted to disconnect India from its past, those who were alienated from India’s culture and its spiritual identity, who could not give up the mentality of slavery even after independence, also deprived Braj land of development. The day is not far when God will be seen with greater grandeur in Braj region also.
