Army protecting tourists
The Indian Army on Wednesday rescued more than 500 tourists stranded due to heavy snowfall in Nathula on the India-China border in Sikkim. The Army gave this information in an official statement. According to the statement, soldiers of the Army’s Trishakti Corps rescued more than 500 tourists stranded due to sudden snowfall in East Sikkim.

It said that Trishakti Corps personnel were sent there for rescue and provided help to the stranded tourists. The statement said the tourists were provided hot food and prompt medical attention and were provided safe transportation.
People were trapped due to heavy snowfall
According to information given by the Indian Army, due to sudden heavy snowfall, about 175 vehicles with more than 500 tourists got stuck in Nathu-La in East Sikkim on February 21. Army responded by showing bravery in sub-zero temperatures and saved the tourists.
