The Enforcement Directorate, which is investigating the Delhi liquor scam case, has issued the third summons to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. A summons was issued by ED to Kejriwal to appear on January 3 of the new year. However, news has come that Kejriwal is not going to appear before the ED today, Wednesday 3 January. Earlier it was reported that Aam Aadmi Party is still taking legal opinion on the ED summons.
Why notice before elections?
The Aam Aadmi Party has raised questions on the ED summons and alleged that an attempt is being made to arrest Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Aam Aadmi Party raised questions on the intention of issuing summons and said why notices were sent to Kejriwal just before the elections.
