Senior BJD leader Prasanna Acharya
Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) vice president and former MP Prasanna Acharya has been injured in a tragic road accident in Sambalpur district of Odisha. Prasanna Acharya’s car collides with a truck, causing serious injuries. Police said that this accident happened near Baladih in Raidakhol at around 1 am on Thursday night.
Prasanna Acharya and private security officer admitted to hospital
Prasanna Acharya was going from Bhubaneswar to Sambalpur and during this time his car collided with a tanker carrying oxygen. Acharya and his personal security officer have been admitted to hospital while his driver has suffered minor injuries. Sambalpur Superintendent of Police Mukesh Bhamu said that the condition of both Acharya and his PSO is out of danger. He will be brought to Bhubaneswar by plane for better treatment.

The doctor said that Acharya suffered injuries on his head, nose, chin and other parts of the body. Meanwhile, the police have detained the driver of the truck for questioning. (Language)
