BJP may finalize seat sharing formula today
New Delhi: The dates of Lok Sabha elections have been announced. In such a situation, all the parties have intensified their preparations. BJP can finalize the formula for sheet sharing in Karnataka today. Whereas JDS is demanding Hassan, Mandya and Kolar seats.
How many Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka?
There are 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP-led NDA had won a total of 26 seats here. Out of which 25 were won only by BJP. Whereas JDS and Congress alliance got only 2 seats. JDS is contesting with BJP in this election.
This time also NDA is expecting better performance but it will face tough competition from Indi alliance.
Why is Karnataka important?
Karnataka is considered the gateway to the south. Karnataka has an important role in the Lok Sabha elections. It is the hub of IT and its contribution to the country’s economy is important. At present Congress is in power here but BJP is trying hard to win the Lok Sabha elections here.
Apart from this, Karnataka can play a decisive role in the elections. There are 28 Lok Sabha seats here. Whichever party captures maximum rights on these seats can get an edge in getting majority.
