BJP MP’s son accused of cheating on woman, police registers FIR

BJP MP from Bellary seat of Karnataka Y Devendrappa is embroiled in controversies. A woman has filed a complaint with the Bengaluru Police against MP’s son Ranganath. The woman says that Ranganath cheated her after promising to marry her. Bengaluru Police has registered a complaint in this matter on the basis of the woman’s complaint and has also started investigation.

The age of the victim woman is 24 years. In the complaint given to the police, the woman has said that Ranganath, after talking to his parents, promised to marry her and one day he took her to a hotel in Mysuru and had physical relations with her in an inebriated state. However, from then onwards Ranganath started ignoring the victim.

Ranganath is a lecturer in college

According to the information given by Bengaluru Police, Ranganath, son of MP Y Devendraappa, is a lecturer in a college in Mysuru. Here he and the victim woman met through a friend. The victim has said in her complaint that she even conveyed this matter to Ranganath’s father and BJP MP Devendraappa but she did not get any help.

The victim woman has told that when she did not get any help from anywhere, she went to the police and lodged her complaint. Police have said that on the basis of the woman’s complaint, an FIR has been registered against the MP’s son Ranganath under sections 420, 417 and 506 of the IPC.
