BJP’s attack on India alliance
The fourth meeting of the constituent parties of the opposition alliance ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’ i.e. INDIA is being held in Delhi today. The fourth meeting of the opposition alliance after Patna, Bengaluru and Mumbai will be held at Ashoka Hotel in Delhi from 3:00 pm. A total of 27 opposition parties have been invited for this meeting, in which many issues including seat sharing, joint public meetings and strategy making for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are expected to be discussed.
“What will happen in the INDI Alliance meeting?”
Earlier, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is in power at the Centre, has fiercely targeted the meeting of the opposition alliance India by sharing a video. While sharing the video on its official ‘X’ account, BJP wrote, “What will happen in the meeting of INDI Alliance today? Watch this trailer…” The video starts with, “It is not written in any book, any Veda, any Ramayana. That the government which has been running for years should continue forever…”

‘Donate for country’ also targeted
In this video, BJP has also attacked Congress’s crowdfunding campaign ‘Donate for Desh’. In fact, Congress on Monday launched the crowdfunding campaign ‘Donate for Desh’ to raise resources for the party before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge started the party’s online crowdfunding program by donating Rs 1.38 lakh. He appealed to Congress supporters to donate to support the efforts to build a better India.
Meeting after elections of five states
It is noteworthy that the meeting of opposition alliance INDIA is going to be held regarding the strategy for Lok Sabha elections. The meeting of key leaders of the parties included in Alliance India is taking place at a time when the results of the recently held assembly elections of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram have come. In this, Congress had to be voted out of power in the Hindi speaking states of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, while BJP retained power in Madhya Pradesh. Whereas, Congress won in Telangana. These elections were being seen as semi-finals in view of the Lok Sabha elections to be held next year. In such a situation, this meeting of the opposition alliance is very important.
