BJP’s new strategy to cross 400, fielded these Rajya Sabha members in the election field – India TV Hindi

BJP’s Rajya Sabha MPs- Piyush Goyal, Bhupendra Yadav and Rajeev Chandrashekhar.

Bharatiya Janata Party has set a target of securing more than 400 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. BJP has not said this yet, but it is indirectly believed that BJP wants to break the record of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi when Congress had got 404 Lok Sabha seats in the 1984 elections. On several occasions, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that BJP alone will get 370 seats in the Lok Sabha elections and NDA’s number of seats will exceed 400.

At the National Creators Awards program in New Delhi on March 8, Prime Minister Modi said that it is his guarantee that he will again preside over such a function on Shivratri next year. Amid slogans of “Abki Baar 400 Paar” by the audience, the Prime Minister said that this is not a guarantee of Modi but of 140 crore Indians. There is talk of ‘Modi wave’ in this election also. At the same time, there are some historical achievements of the government, on the basis of which BJP is talking about crossing the 400 mark this time.

Historical achievements of the government

The historic achievements of the Modi government at the Center include abrogation of Article 370, law on triple talaq, implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 (CAA), construction and inauguration of Ram temple in Ayodhya. However, the truth is that the electoral battle is not going to be so easy, as the ruling alliance NDA is facing a new alliance INDIA, due to which opposition to BJP is increasing in some states.

Meanwhile, this time BJP has given tickets to the candidates very thoughtfully keeping the bigger goal in mind. BJP has so far released the list of 267 candidates in view of the Lok Sabha elections. The saffron party has fielded new faces in place of at least 25 sitting MPs and about 21 percent of its candidates have dropped out. By giving tickets to many Rajya Sabha members, the saffron party indicated that the party will leave no stone unturned to achieve the set target.
