BSF soldiers attacked in Manipur’s Thoubal, curfew imposed in the city

The violence that has been going on in Manipur for the past several months is showing no sign of stopping. Despite the best efforts of the administration, violent elements are continuing crime in the state. In such a situation, on Wednesday night, gunmen opened fire on security forces in Thoubal district of the state. According to PTI, the police gave this information on Thursday that at least three Border Security Force (BSF) soldiers have been injured in this attack.

Attempt to sabotage police headquarters

Giving information, Manipur Police has said that late on Wednesday night, some gunmen from the crowd had tried to vandalize the Thoubal Police Headquarters. During this he fired at the security personnel. The angry mob targeted the 3rd Indian Reserve Battalion in Khangabok where the security forces retaliated and dispersed them. The mob attempted to vandalize the Thoubal Police Headquarters, following which the security forces had to use force. Armed people from the crowd opened fire, injuring three BSF soldiers.

Two police commandos also martyred

According to police, the BSF jawans injured in the firing in Manipur have been identified as Constable Gaurav Kumar, ASI Sobram Singh and ASI Ramji. After being injured, he was taken to a private hospital. Where his treatment continues. On Wednesday, militants attacked a vehicle of security forces in Moreh, a border town in Tengnoupal district in the state, police said. In this, two commandos of Manipur Police were martyred.

Curfew imposed in the city

Following the violence by the angry mob and injuries to BSF soldiers, the administration has imposed curfew in Thoubal of the state. However, people involved in essential services, including those involved in health, media and courts functioning and those visiting airports, have been exempted from the curfew. (input language)
