Bengaluru: Congress released the first list of its candidates for the Lok Sabha elections on Friday. There are 39 candidates from different states in the list. Among these, names of seven Lok Sabha candidates from Karnataka are included. Out of the seven candidates whose names have been announced by Congress for Karnataka, there are VIP candidates for two seats.

Expressed confidence again in DK Suresh

Confidence has once again been expressed on MP DK Suresh from Bengaluru Rural Lok Sabha seat. DK Suresh is the brother of State Congress President and state Deputy CM DK Shivakumar. In the 2019 elections, Congress had won only one seat from Karnataka in the form of DK Suresh.

Ticket given to Kannada actor’s wife

Congress has given ticket to Geeta Shivarajkumar from Shivamogga. BS Yediyurappa’s elder son BY Raghavendra is the MP from here. Geeta Shivarajkumar is the wife of Kannada film superstar Shivarajkumar. Shivarajkumar’s father Rajkumar was a legendary artist of the Kannada film industry. Shivarajkumar has a huge fan following in Karnataka. The people of Karnataka also have respect for his late younger brother Puneet Rajkumar and father Rajkumar.

Actually, Congress wanted to bring Shiv Rajkumar into the party and contest the elections but Shiv Rajkumar put his wife forward. The Congress party feels that the arrival of the Rajkumar family in support of the Congress candidates will be beneficial for them in the elections.
