Congress got a shock in Arunachal Pradesh too, 2 MLAs joined BJP – India TV Hindi

4 MLAs from Congress and NPP join BJP in Arunachal

Itanagar: Along with the Lok Sabha elections, assembly elections are also to be held in Arunachal Pradesh. The Congress party has suffered a setback before these elections. Two MLAs of the party have joined BJP. Along with this, two MLAs of NPP have also joined BJP. On Sunday, these four MLAs took membership of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of Chief Minister Pema Khandu.

These four MLAs joined BJP

Opposition Congress MLAs Ninong Ering and Wangling Lowangdong and NPP MLAs Muchu Mithi and Gokar Basar joined the BJP at a function at the saffron party’s Itanagar office. Let us tell you that NPP is an ally of the ruling BJP in Arunachal Pradesh. Apart from the Chief Minister, Assam Minister and BJP’s election in-charge for Arunachal Pradesh Ashok Singhal and State President Biuram Wahge were also present in this ceremony.

Let us tell you that the elections for the 60-member Arunachal Pradesh Assembly are likely to be held along with the Lok Sabha elections in April or May. At the same time, after four MLAs joined the party, out of total 60 members in the state assembly, the strength of BJP along with its allies increased to 56, while Congress reduced to two. There are also two independent members in the House.

After the four MLAs joined BJP, CM Pema Khandu said, “Their joining the party is a testament to their faith in the principles of good governance espoused by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The transformational leadership of the Prime Minister, which is ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka is focused on the motto of ‘Vishvas, Sabka Prayas’, which has brought positive change across the country. Their joining the party will further strengthen our base in their respective constituencies and Arunachal Pradesh.”
