Big claim of former Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy

Former Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy made a big claim saying that a Congress minister can join the Bharatiya Janata Party along with 50-60 Congress MLAs. JD(S) leader Kumaraswamy said the Karnataka government may fall soon. He claimed that an ‘influential minister’ of the ruling Congress wants to avoid ‘cases’ filed against him by the Centre, due to which he may join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

“Can join BJP with 50 to 60 MLAs”

Former Chief Minister Kumaraswamy claimed that the minister along with ’50 to 60 MLAs’ may leave the Congress party and join the BJP and he is currently in “talks” with BJP leaders. “All is not well in the Congress government,” the JD(S) leader told reporters. I don’t know when this government will fall. An influential minister is desperate to escape from the cases registered against him. It is noteworthy that there was an alliance between JDS and BJP in September 2023. BJP hopes that it will perform brilliantly in the Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka with JDS. “Something like Maharashtra can happen in Karnataka any time”

HD Kumaraswamy said the Center has filed such cases against him from which there is no possibility of “escaping”. When Kumaraswamy was asked to name the leader, he said that such “fearless” action cannot be expected from small leaders. He said only “influential people” can do this. The JD(S) state president said “something like Maharashtra” could happen in Karnataka any time. “Given the current political environment, anything can happen,” he said.
