Kharge got angry on the demand of a separate country.

Opposition parties have expressed their displeasure over the interim budget presented by the Central Government. Everyone has said that there is nothing in the budget to provide relief to the common people. However, Karnataka Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP DK Suresh went so far in protest that he even talked about making South India a separate country. Let us tell you that DK Suresh is the brother of Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar. Now there is a huge uproar over his statement.

What did DK Suresh say?

On the interim budget, Congress MP from Bengaluru DK Suresh had said that this is an election budget. Some Sanskrit names and Hindi names of the schemes have been introduced. The Center is not giving its share of GST and direct taxes to South Indian states. He had said that South Indian states are facing injustice. The money collected from southern states is being given to North Indian states. If this continues, we will be forced to demand a separate country. The Center is receiving more than Rs 4 lakh crore from us and what we are getting in return is negligible. We have to question this. If this is not corrected, all southern states will have to raise their voices to demand a separate nation.

What did Kharge say?

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has given a statement in the Rajya Sabha on the demand of a separate country by DK Suresh. He said- If anyone talks about breaking the country, we will never tolerate it – no matter which party he belongs to. Mallikarjun Kharge himself will say that from Kanyakumari to Kashmir we are one and will remain one.
