Strict action by the administration continues after the violence in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. Curfew has been lifted today in the outskirts of Haldwani, while curfew will continue in violence-hit Banbhulpura today also. Considering the situation, the administration has decided to ban internet for 24 hours. But there has been no ban on competitive examinations to be held in Haldwani. Strict action is being taken against other rioters including the mastermind of the violence. Abdul Malik, the mastermind of the attack on police, has been arrested. CM Dhami has given a strict warning to the rioters on the Haldwani violence. CM Dhami has given instructions to take strict action against those who break the law.
Internet banned in Haldwani even today
Let us tell you that curfew will remain only in Banbhulpura, whereas internet is still banned in entire Haldwani. Although there are many examinations today, the administration has geared up to conduct them properly. Roadways buses will run as before. The arrival of vegetables will continue in the market. Ration, milk, everything will be available. Soldiers have been deployed at sensitive places. The government is keeping a close eye on the situation.
Mastermind of violence arrested
Meanwhile, the mastermind of the violence, Abdul Malik, has been arrested. Abdul is the person who sold hundreds of plots which were built on government land on stamp paper of fifty rupees. Apart from this, arrests are also going on. Through video footage, those who attacked with petrol bombs and stones are being identified and arrested.
Preparation for recovery from rioters
Not only this, there are now preparations for recovery from those who commit violence. CM Dhami has clearly said that those who play with the law will not be spared. The investigation so far has revealed that the administration ignored the intelligence report. A week before the Haldwani violence, when the Municipal Corporation team reached Malik’s garden, there was a heated argument with the accused Malik. Abdul Malik had not shown the land papers to the Corporation Commissioner, after which the Corporation took possession of the disputed land on January 29.
