Danish Ali associated with ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’
After 12 months of ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, Congress has launched the second phase of the nationwide campaign ‘Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra’. The yatra began on Sunday from Khongjom in Thoubal district of northeastern state Manipur. Let us tell you that Manipur is surrounded by ethnic conflicts since May last year. The yatra has been taken out under the leadership of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, who reached Imphal on a chartered flight from Delhi along with several senior Congress leaders. Rahul Gandhi began the visit by laying a wreath at the Khongjom War Memorial for the fallen heroes of the Anglo-Manipur War of 1891. Meanwhile, Danish Ali, suspended Lok Sabha member from Bahujan Samaj Party, joined ‘Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra’ with Rahul Gandhi.

Danish Ali said that he considers it his duty to be a part of this journey, because this initiative of Rahul Gandhi is an initiative to provide justice to the weak people and to unite the people of India. Danish Ali was suspended from the party by BSP on December 9 on charges of anti-party activities. Citing the objectionable remarks made by BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri, the Lok Sabha member said, “A major reason for taking this decision is that I myself am a victim of this unjust system. The attack on me inside the Parliament was Everyone saw it. The ruling party did not take any action against the person who attacked me, but rewarded him.” He claimed that this is the condition of the entire country and efforts are being made to create an atmosphere of fear and terror. Ali said, “When I was attacked in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi ji was the first leader of the country to encourage me and my family. He stood by me at that time.”
Danish Ali said, “This journey of Honorable Rahul Gandhi ji is a journey to provide justice to the weak and to unite the people of India. This journey is a struggle against the divisive forces of the country. Rahul ji has started a journey to unite the entire country and every section of the society. I have started this journey to get justice, that is why I stand with Rahul ji today.” He said that fulfilling the objective of this yatra is the real objective of all of us associated with politics and social service.
