Dense fog in 12 states including Delhi, visibility 0 at many places

Dense fog blankets 12 states

IMD Weather Update: Dense fog was seen in many states of North India including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab on Monday morning. The Meteorological Department said on the Moderate to dense fog is being seen in isolated areas of Eastern Uttar Pradesh and light fog is being observed in isolated parts of Chandigarh, Western UP, Eastern MP, Bihar, Odisha, Vidarbha.

Zero visibility recorded here

According to the information given by the Meteorological Department on its X handle, zero visibility was recorded at Delhi IGI Airport at 5.30 am today. Apart from this, there was dense fog in many areas of Delhi. The Meteorological Department said that visibility in Amritsar and Patiala of Punjab is 0, Chandigarh – 500, Delhi (Palam) – 0, Delhi (Safdarjung) – 200, Ganganagar of Rajasthan – 0, Bikaner – 200, Churu and Jaisalmer – 500, Ajmer. -200, UP’s Jhansi -500 meters was recorded.

Dense fog prevails in these states

Apart from this, Varanasi-200, Lucknow-500 of Eastern UP, Gwalior-0, Satna-500, Patna and Purnia-500 of Madhya Pradesh, Jharsuguda and Puri-500 of Odisha; Nagpur-500 meters visibility was recorded. There will be dense fog at all these places on Tuesday also. Dense fog is occurring in Manipur, Assam, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura.

The temperature is below 10 degrees

The Meteorological Department said that the minimum temperature in Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh is between 6-9° C. Apart from this, the minimum temperature in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal is below 10 degrees Celsius. There is no respite from the harsh winter in other states including Haryana and Punjab.

Delhi-NCR weather

There will be dense fog in Delhi-NCR on Monday morning. IMD has predicted dense fog from 25 to 28 December. It said there will be light fog from December 29 to December 30 and the minimum temperature is likely to drop by a few degrees. IMD has predicted clear sky during the day.

There will be no relief from fog yet

Let us tell you that the minimum and maximum temperatures continue to fluctuate in Rajasthan. Fatehpur in Sikar district was the coldest place recorded with a minimum temperature of 4.2 degrees Celsius. Whereas in Alwar the minimum temperature was recorded at 5.9 degrees. A spokesperson of the Meteorological Department said that in the next two-three days, there is a possibility of dense fog at different places in the northern and eastern parts of the state and a slight drop in the minimum temperature. Another new western disturbance is expected to become active in the state from December 31.
