Farmers movement: Chilli powder in stubble, police attacked with sticks and machetes, 12 policemen injured – India TV Hindi

Farmers became furious.

The farmers moving from Punjab towards Delhi have now become furious. Farmers are trying to enter Haryana by crossing the barricades at Shambhu Border and Khanori Border located on the Punjab-Haryana border. Let us tell you that the police has stopped a group of farmers from Punjab, who were adamant on going to Delhi, at the Punjab-Haryana border for the last several days. The police are also continuously firing tear gas shells to disperse the crowd of these farmers and prevent them from crossing the border. Meanwhile, Haryana Police has claimed a major attack on soldiers by farmers.

Attack on police with sticks and machetes

Haryana Police has claimed that their soldiers have been badly attacked by farmers. Police said that at the Data Singh-Khanori border, the protesters poured chilli powder in the stubble and surrounded the police from all sides. Along with pelting stones, the farmers also attacked the policemen using sticks and machetes. About 12 policemen have been seriously injured in this incident. The police have appealed to the protesters for peace.

Amidst the fierce protests by farmers, Union Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda said on Wednesday that the Center is ready to discuss all issues. Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda wrote on Twitter, “After the fourth round, the government is ready to discuss all the issues like demand for guarantee of MSP, crop diversification, stubble issue, FIR in the fifth round. I appeal to the farmer leaders to discuss again. “It is important for us to maintain peace.”
