Actually, Kalyan Banerjee turned 67 on Thursday. He said, “It is indeed a noble gesture and magnanimity of the Honorable Vice President to wish me on my birthday. I am really touched that he talked to me and my wife and invited us for dinner at his home.” When asked whether Dhankhar’s behavior could improve relations between the two, Shrirampur said. The K MP said that “in life one should always leave behind the misunderstandings of the past and move ahead.” Trinamool Congress MP K had also expressed his gratitude to Dhankhar on social media on Thursday for his birthday wishes.

There was uproar after the suspension of MPs

Let us tell you that last month a controversy had arisen when Banerjee had imitated Dhankhar during the opposition’s protest on the steps of Parliament. This incident was video-recorded by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Opposition MPs were protesting against the suspension of more than 140 Members of Parliament. This act of Banerjee was strongly condemned by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Let us tell you that Dhankhar is also a senior lawyer. He had then said in the House that he would not tolerate insult to Parliament or the constitutional post of the Vice President. Banerjee later said that ‘mimicry’ is a form of expression and expressing dissent and protest is a fundamental right in a democracy.
