After the political upheaval in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is on a visit to Delhi on Wednesday. He has met PM Narendra Modi, BJP President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah. The meeting of top BJP leaders including PM Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is special in many ways. It is being told that the strategy regarding Lok Sabha elections was discussed in these meetings. After meeting top BJP leaders, Nitish Kumar has also given a statement to the media. Nitish has said that now he will remain with NDA only.

What did Nitish Kumar say?

After meeting BJP national president JP Nadda, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said that we (BJP-JDU) were together since 1995. It definitely happened here and there twice in between. But never again. Then we will stay here and will not move here and there. At the same time, on the issue of seat sharing for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Nitish Kumar said that there is no logic behind discussing it. This will be done further let them know everything from the beginning.

Discussion on Rajya Sabha seats also possible

JDU sources had said that during Chief Minister Kumar’s meeting with top BJP leaders, issues related to Rajya Sabha elections in the state may also be discussed. Six Rajya Sabha seats are falling vacant in Bihar, elections for which are to be held on February 27. Out of these 6 seats, 2 are currently held by JDU while two are in the account of RJD.

Voting on trust vote on 12th February

The first test of the new JDU-BJP government in Bihar will be in the Assembly on February 12 when it will have to prove the trust vote. In the Bihar Assembly, the ruling party has the support of 128 MLAs while the opposition Grand Alliance has the support of 114 MLAs. AIMIM MLA Akhtarul Iman is not with any alliance. Speaker Avadh Bihari Choudhary is RJD MLA.
