Let us tell you that recently the Varanasi District Judge had given permission to the Hindu side to worship in the basement of Vyas ji. After which the Muslim side went to the High Court. After rejecting the petition from the High Court, now the Muslim side can go to the Supreme Court.

While giving the order, the High Court said that the puja which had been ordered recently by the Varanasi District Judge, will continue. Let us tell you that the bench of Justice Rohit Ranjan Aggarwal in Allahabad High Court had heard the appeal filed by Anjuman Intejamia Masjid Committee, the organization that manages Gyanvapi Mosque, and had reserved its decision.

There was a ban in the year 1993

After December 1993, there was a ban on entering the barricaded area in the courtyard of Gyanvapi, after which puja was not taking place in the basement of Vyas ji. The rituals of attachment and indulgence had also stopped. The Hindu side also claimed in the court that worship was held here even during the British rule.
