‘I will not beg for compromise’, Hemant said after being arrested by ED – India TV Hindi

Ranchi: Hemant Soren’s first reaction after being arrested by ED in money laundering case. He expressed his views by sharing a poem by poet Shivmangal Singh Suman on social media platform X (Twitter). He said in just a few gestures that he will not accept defeat and will not compromise with anyone.

Hemant Soren wrote, “This is a pause, life is a great battle, I have fought every moment, I will fight every moment, but I will not beg for compromise. Whether in defeat or in victory, I am not the least bit afraid, let the smallness not touch me now, You are great, remain so. I will not give up the pain of my people’s heart in vain, I will not accept defeat. Jai Jharkhand!”

Hemant Soren moved the High Court

After his arrest, Hemant Soren has approached the High Court. He has filed a petition against the ED arrest. There will be a hearing in the court today at 10:30 in this case. At the same time, ED will also present Soren in the locality court, where the agency will demand 14 days’ remand. Before being arrested, Soren had gone to Raj Bhavan and resigned from the post of Chief Minister, which was accepted by the Governor.

Soren remains the acting Chief Minister of Jharkhand

However, even after resigning, Hemant Soren remains the acting Chief Minister of Jharkhand. According to law, the post of Chief Minister of any state cannot remain vacant. After resignation, the Governor keeps the CM as acting CM. Whereas when the next CM is sworn in, the previous CM will remain the acting CM.

Champai Soren was elected leader of the legislature party

This entire sequence has happened in Jharkhand. Hemat Soren has resigned. Champai Soren has been elected the leader of the legislature party. Champai Soren will now be the new Chief Minister of Jharkhand. But the Governor has not administered the oath to him yet. JMM MLAs kept creating ruckus in Raj Bhavan on Wednesday night to get him sworn in immediately. But the Governor did not take any decision.
