IMD Weather Update: Chance of rain in these states, read updates before leaving home

Chance of rain at many places

New Delhi: Due to air pollution in Delhi, people are finding it difficult to breathe. Meanwhile, IMD has also expressed the possibility of rain in many states. In such a situation, if you are planning to step out of the house, then definitely read the latest update of IMD. Otherwise, you may fall ill after getting wet in this rain.

Where can it rain?

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert in the south peninsular region for the next four days. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be light to moderate rain in parts of Tamil Nadu, Mahe, Kerala, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka. It has also been said that a weak western disturbance may affect the western Himalayan region on Thursday.

How will the weather be in Delhi?

The sky will be clear in the morning in the national capital but there will be no relief from haze and light fog. The maximum and minimum temperatures here are likely to be around 26 and 11 degrees Celsius respectively. On Tuesday, the maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi were recorded at 27.9 and 11.3 degrees Celsius respectively.

West Bengal and Sikkim

It will be partly cloudy in Kolkata today. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 30 and 21 degrees Celsius respectively. Dry weather is most likely to persist over all districts of Sikkim and Sub Himalayan West Bengal.

Himachal Pradesh

It will be sunny in Shimla on Wednesday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 18 and 9 degrees Celsius respectively. Dry weather will prevail in lower hills, central hills and higher hilly areas. The lowest temperature recorded in the last 24 hours was (-)2.5 degrees Celsius in Keylong.

Jammu and Kashmir

There will be dry weather with fog in the morning over the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. The sky will be mainly clear in Srinagar today and there will be dense fog in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 14 and (-)2 degrees Celsius respectively. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Jammu will be 26 and 11 degrees Celsius respectively.

Tamil Nadu

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning will occur at one or two places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal region. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli and Tenkasi districts of Tamil Nadu. Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Theni, Dindigul, Pudukkottai, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam and Mayiladuthurai districts.
