Lok Sabha elections are coming near. The Election Commission will soon announce the dates of Lok Sabha elections 2024. Meanwhile, the Union Home Ministry implemented the CAA law for the entire country. Since then, there is a situation of confusion in the Muslim community. Meanwhile, India TV CNX Opinion Poll tried to know the opinion of the people whether the implementation of CAA will affect the upcoming Lok Sabha elections? People expressed their opinion in the poll and we are presenting the figures before you.

Will the implementation of CAA affect the upcoming Lok Sabha elections?

Political scholars believe that CAA will have an impact on the elections. But how and to what extent remains to be seen? NDIA TV CNX Opinion Poll asked people what impact will the implementation of CAA have on the elections? What impact will the implementation of CAA have on the elections? The figures that came out are surprising.

In the INDIA TV CNX opinion poll, 72 percent people believed that this will increase polarization. 20 percent believe that there will be no impact, 2 percent people feel that Muslims will understand Modi and 6 percent people said that nothing can be said about this.

Will BJP benefit from the implementation of CAA?

In this survey conducted after the implementation of CAA, the first question we asked was whether BJP will benefit from the implementation of CAA? In response, 62% people said that yes, BJP will benefit. 24% people said that BJP will not benefit. 14% people did not express any clear opinion on this question.

West Bengal is being affected the most

Let us inform you that CAA is having the biggest impact on West Bengal because West Bengal has the highest number of refugees persecuted in Bangladesh on the basis of religion. The biggest impact of CAA implementation in West Bengal is on those seats where Bengali Matua voters are the most. Three such seats bordering South East Bengal i.e. Bangladesh are Bangaon, Ranaghat and Krishnanagar. Bangaon is the seat of BJP’s Matua leader Shantanu Thakur. BJP’s Jagannath Sarkar is the current MP from Ranaghat and Trinamool’s Mahua Moitra was elected MP from Krishnanagar.

More impact of CAA is being seen on these three seats. Due to Matua vote, BJP can get a big victory from CAA in Bonagaon and Ranaghat seats. Bangaon seat is the seat of Shantanu Thakur. Shantanu Thakur Matua is the grandson of Mata Veenapani Devi. He is an MP from BJP and also a minister in the Modi government. BJP was winning this seat of Bangaon earlier also, but after the implementation of CAA, BJP seems to be getting a big victory here. Ranaghat is another seat influenced by Matua voters. Here also BJP was winning earlier. After the implementation of CAA, BJP’s victory will be huge. At the same time, BJP can get an easy victory on Krishnanagar seat due to CAA.

Effect on Cooch Behar, Dumdum and Murshidabad seats also

There are three more seats with Matua effect in West Bengal – Cooch Behar, Dumdum and Murshidabad. BJP is ahead in Cooch Behar and Dumdum. CAA has no effect on the results there. Trinamool is ahead in Murshidabad, the Muslim population there is so high that Matua will not be able to have any impact on the election results.

Apart from this, there are three more seats Barasat, Barrackpur and Basirhat. The results of opinion polls are changing in Barasat and Barrackpur. Till last week, Trinamool was ahead here, now BJP is ahead. Similarly, after the CAA effect in Barrackpur, BJP has left Trinamool behind. Trinamool was ahead in Basirhat seat. There are 47% Muslim voters here. Still Trinamool is looking ahead. Barasat is a strong fort of TMC. Dr. Kakali Ghosh has been the Dastidar MP since 2009, but CAA seems to be changing the equation here. BJP seems to be getting a big benefit from the implementation of CAA.

Barrackpore seat is in discussion because of Arjun Singh. Arjun Singh has flip-flopped thrice in the past few days. He was earlier in Trinamool. Had gone from Trinamool to BJP, now just a few days ago he came to Trinamool from BJP. Then Trinamool did not give Barrackpur ticket to Arjun Singh, so he went back to BJP. There are a large number of Matua voters in Barrackpore also. After the implementation of CAA, BJP is benefiting here.

Matua effect on seats bordering Bangladesh also

Apart from the seats bordering Bangladesh, there are some seats also where Matua effect is visible. Such seats include Howrah, Bardhaman East, Bardhaman-Durgapur and Bolpur. Let us tell you that TMC is definitely ahead in Howrah, adjacent to Kolkata, but with the implementation of CAA, BJP has come into competition. The trend may also change here. Similarly, in Bardhaman East also, BJP is now giving a tough fight. TMC’s lead remains intact but here too the game may change. TMC may also lose its lead here. Talking about Bardhaman-Durgapur seat, BJP is making GAIN here, it is benefiting from CAA. The impact of Matua voters is also visible on Bolpur seat. BJP can take a big lead here.
