India TV Poll: Will ‘Atal Setu’ prove to be a gamechanger for the development of Maharashtra?

New Delhi: PM Modi recently gave a big gift to Mumbai. The PM had reduced the distance between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai by inaugurating the 21.8 km long Atal Setu. This will reduce the travel time between the two cities and people will also get rid of long traffic jams. About 16 km of this bridge is built on the sea. There is about 5.5 km area on the land.

In such a situation, India TV had conducted a poll on this issue and asked the public whether the country’s longest sea bridge ‘Atal Setu’ would prove to be a game changer for the development of Maharashtra? In response to this, 93 percent people answered yes. Whereas 5 percent people answered no. 2 percent people replied that they cannot say. A total of 11,414 people voted in response to this question.

Toll will have to be paid for traveling on the bridge: Rs 250

Those traveling on Atal Setu will have to pay a toll of only Rs 250. This bridge built in the financial capital of the country is the longest bridge in the country. Officials have said that about 70 thousand passengers will travel through the bridge every day, whose time and fuel expenditure will be significantly reduced.

Tenders were opened for the construction of this bridge in 2006, while Prime Minister Modi laid its foundation stone in 2016. After this, its construction could start in April 2018.
