Shimla: After many ups and downs in the Congress government of Himachal Pradesh, now the matter seems to be calming down. The Congress high command has constituted a six-member coordination committee on behalf of the Congress for better coordination between the organization and the government. CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Congress State President Pratibha Singh, Minister Vikramaditya Singh, Kaul Singh Thakur and Dhaniram Sandil have been given place in this committee.

6 MLAs have rebelled

Let us tell you that after the Rajya Sabha elections last month, the Himachal government was in trouble. It was being said that now Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu’s government would hardly survive. Six Congress MLAs had rebelled and voted in favor of the BJP candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections. Along with this, government minister Vikramaditya Singh had also resigned. However, after several rounds of talks he withdrew his resignation.

During this time, the Congress high command sent Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar, former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda and former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel as observers to improve the situation. The three leaders had met many leaders including Chief Minister Sukhu, State Congress President Pratibha Singh. During this time it was decided that the high command would form a coordination committee. Now today the members of this committee were announced.

Sukhu attacked BJP

Earlier, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party of adopting unfair and undemocratic methods to weaken the democratic process of the state, said on Sunday that “we are not afraid of political challenges.” Addressing, Sukhu said, “We are not afraid of political challenges. We will face every challenge strongly and realize the dream of self-reliant Himachal by 2032.
