Jamtara: Two people have died after being hit by a train in Jamtara, Jharkhand. Eastern Railway CPRO Kaushik Mitra said that two persons walking on the track at least 2 kilometers away from train number 12254 were hit by the train. This train was passing through Vidyasagar Kasitar. There has been no incident of fire. At present two deaths have been confirmed. The deceased were not passengers but were walking on the track. A 3-member JAG committee has been formed to investigate the matter.
SDM’s statement came out
Jamtara SDM Ananth Kumar says, “The train stopped near Kalajharia railway crossing and some passengers got down and were hit by another local train. Information was received that some people have died. RPF and district police are conducting search operations and two bodies have been recovered so far. The cause of the incident has not yet been determined.
