Ranchi: Miscreants have created a ruckus in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. A Hindu temple has been vandalized here. The incident is being reported from Mandar police station area. There is anger among the local people due to the vandalism of the Hindu temple.

According to the information received, the idols of Gods and Goddesses installed in four temples simultaneously in Mandar, Ranchi were broken by anti-social elements. As soon as the local people came to know about this, they became angry. Thousands of people came out on the streets with sticks and weapons. People also demonstrated by blocking traffic at many places. Keeping the situation in mind, police force has been deployed in the area and efforts are being made to pacify the local people.
Which temples were vandalized?
According to the information received, the statues located in Mahavir Temple, Chhota Bajrang Bali Temple, Budha Mahadev and Madai Devi Mandap located in Mudma of Mandar were broken by anti-social elements with cutter machines. On Friday morning, the news of this spread like wildfire in the entire area and within no time thousands of people came on the streets with sticks and weapons. There were a large number of women among them. People are demanding to trace those who vandalized the statues, arrest them and give them death sentence.
Roads were blocked
Angry people barricaded the road with bamboo at various places. Tires were put on the road and set on fire. There was a long queue of vehicles on NH-75 from both sides. Ranchi SDO Deepak Dubey and Rural SP Manish Toppo tried to convince the agitated villagers. However, people are adamant on the demand for the arrest of the accused. Rural SP has said that the police is trying to find out those who damaged the statues. He will be arrested soon. Special Investigation Team (SIT) will be formed to investigate the incident.
Here, Jharkhand State BJP President Babulal Marandi has expressed his displeasure over the incident of damage to the statues in temples and said that incidents of hurting the sentiments of Hindus have now become a common thing in Ranchi district.
