Uttarkashi: Today’s morning light is going to bring good news for those 41 laborers and their families who are trapped inside the Silkyara Tunnel of Uttarkashi for 12 days. Now workers can be thrown out at any time. Experts involved in the rescue operation have said that only two pipes remain to be laid. These pipes would have been put inside last night itself but the work of the drilling machine was stopped due to the presence of rebar in the debris, after which NDRF personnel entered the pipe and started the work of cutting the rebar. According to experts, if everything goes well, the workers will be taken out after some time. All preparations have been done outside also.

According to Girish Singh Rawat, who is looking after the electricity work inside the tunnel, the rods coming in the way of drilling have been cut and now pipes are being inserted in the remaining part. Now the operation to save the workers is going on in its final stages. The rescue workers have reached very close.

The relatives of the workers are sitting outside the tunnel.

Once the workers trapped in the tunnel come out, their medical checkup will be done. This physical examination will be done at three levels – paramedic, CMO and laborers will be examined in the hospital of Chinyali Soud. The hopes of the families of the workers trapped in the tunnel have also increased. Everyone is hopeful that they will be able to see their families today. Even the cold of Uttarkashi is not able to shake their feelings. These family members are sitting outside the tunnel. Now the workers can go out at any time, yet the team of doctors is continuously talking to them. Just yesterday, an audio network was created inside the tunnel to talk to the workers. Through this network, doctors talked to the workers trapped in the tunnel. First of all the doctors counseled the workers trapped inside. Medicines were also sent to the workers who were suffering from health problems.

What is the whole matter?

A part of the Silkyara tunnel under construction on the Chardham Yatra route in Uttarkashi district had collapsed on November 12, due to which 41 laborers were trapped on the other side of the debris, rescue operations are being carried out on a war footing to rescue them. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on phone and took information about the ongoing rescue operations in Silkyara. Sharing this information on social media, Dhami said that he informed the Prime Minister about the rescue operations conducted with mutual coordination between central agencies, international experts and the state administration and he was informed about the positive progress in the last 24 hours and the conversation between the workers and their families. Also informed about increased morale.

On Tuesday, the first video of the recovery of 41 workers trapped in the Silkyara tunnel surfaced, which not only gave hope to their families but also boosted the morale of the rescue workers.
