Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is visiting various states to take stock of the preparations of the Aam Aadmi Party in view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Recently he also visited Gujarat, a state considered to be the stronghold of BJP. In this sequence, Kejriwal was going on a two-day visit to Goa on Thursday to assess the election preparations. However, he has suddenly canceled his tour.
The party gave the reason
Aam Aadmi Party sources have given information regarding the cancellation of Kejriwal’s two-day visit to Goa. He said that Kejriwal has postponed his visit to Goa due to Republic Day preparations. A party source has said that now Kejriwal will visit Goa next week.
AAP has announced its first Lok Sabha candidate
Aam Aadmi Party is planning to contest the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 in alliance with Indi alliance. However, even before the seat sharing issue could be resolved, the party has announced its first Lok Sabha candidate. Addressing a public meeting in Bharuch, Gujarat, AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has announced that Chaitra Vasava will be the party’s Lok Sabha candidate from this seat.
Kejriwal is under ED cover
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is currently facing the threat of arrest in the Delhi liquor scam case. Despite summons being sent thrice by the Enforcement Directorate for questioning, Kejriwal has not appeared before the agency. The party has also expressed apprehension that today ED may raid Arvind Kejriwal’s house and arrest him.
