Lok Sabha Election 2024: The battle cry for elections for the 18th Lok Sabha has started. The Election Commission has announced the dates of Lok Sabha elections 2024. Elections will be conducted in seven phases in the country. The first phase of voting will be held on 19 April, the second phase on 26 April, the third phase on 07 May, the fourth phase of voting on 13 May, the fifth phase of voting on 20 May, the sixth phase of voting on 26 May and the seventh phase of voting on 1 June. . The second phase of voting will be held on April 26.
Notification for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections will be released on March 28. The last date for filing nomination here is 04 April. Along with this, the date of scrutiny of nominations is 05th April, but during this period, the date of scrutiny of nominations in Jammu and Kashmir will be 06th April. Here the date of withdrawal of nominations is 08 April and voting will be held on 26 April. Along with this, counting of votes will take place on June 04.
Voting will be held on 89 seats in 13 states
In the second phase, voting is to be held on 89 seats in 13 states. This includes five in Assam and Bihar, three in Chhattisgarh, 14 in Karnataka, 20 in Kerala, seven in Madhya Pradesh, 8 in Maharashtra, one each in Manipur, Tripura, Jammu and Kashmir, 13 in Rajasthan, eight in Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Voting will be held on three seats of Bengal.

Voting will be held on 102 seats in 21 states
During the first phase, voting will be held on a total of 102 seats in 21 states. These include two from Arunachal Pradesh, five from Assam, four from Bihar, one from Chhattisgarh, six from Madhya Pradesh, five from Maharashtra, two from Manipur and Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Voting will be held on one Lok Sabha seat each in Puducherry, Sikkim and Nagaland, 12 in Rajasthan, 39 in Tamil Nadu, eight in Uttar Pradesh, five in Uttarakhand and three in West Bengal.
