Election in how many phases?
It is noteworthy that the tenure of the present government is going to end on June 16. The last Lok Sabha election schedule was announced on March 10. This election was held in seven phases and voting started from April 11. The counting of votes was done on 23 May.
This time, the Election Commission on Friday informed on its X handle that the voting schedule in India will be announced through a press conference at 3 pm on Saturday. Elections will be held in April-May this year. It is expected that this time the Lok Sabha elections may be held in 7 to 8 phases. It is also important to note here that the newly appointed Election Commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu took charge on Friday itself.
