The demonstration of farmers continues regarding their demands. Now Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) has informed that Delhi Police has given them permission to organize ‘Kisan Mazdoor Mahapanchayat’ at Ramlila Maidan on March 14. Farmers organization says that in this Mahapanchayat, a resolution will be passed to intensify the fight against the policies of Modi government. At the same time, Delhi Police has said in this matter that it has given permission for Mahapanchayat at Ramlila Maidan with strict conditions.
What did the police tell?
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) M Harsh Vardhan said that we have imposed strict conditions and SKM leaders have signed an undertaking that they will abide by the conditions. The Samyukta Kisan Morcha has claimed that the Delhi Police has issued NOC to organize the mahapanchayat and make arrangements for parking space and other basic facilities like water, toilets and ambulances in collaboration with the Delhi civic body. SKM has said that this Mahapanchayat will be peaceful.
Appeal to connect with people
United Kisan Morcha has appealed to the farmers and workers to participate in the Mahapanchayat. The Morcha has said that preparations are being made to make this program politically important and successful. In this Mahapanchayat, a resolution letter will also be passed to fight against the policies of Modi government.
People from many states will participate – SKM
SKM has told that people from nearby states will also participate in this Mahapanchayat. Most of the farmers are coming by train. In order to travel to Delhi without any hassle, the buses and vehicles will have stickers apart from the flags of the respective organizations. After dropping the farmers at the destination, the vehicles will be parked at the allotted place in Delhi. Delhi Police will also issue traffic advisory. (input language)
