New Delhi: A complaint has been filed in CBI against former TMC MP Mahua Moitra, expelled from Parliament, for illegal spying. Advocate Jai Ananth Dehadrai has alleged that Mahua Moitra has got him spied on by using her contacts in the West Bengal Police. In the complaint written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and CBI Director Praveen Sood, Anant Dehadrai has said that former TMC MP Mahua Moitra was taking information about his location through phone.
‘Mahua Moitra has done this before also’
In the letter, Dehadrai has written that Mahua Moitra used the connections of senior officers of Bengal Police to get his call details so that she could find out who he was meeting and talking to. Dehadrai has written in her complaint, ‘Mahua Moitra is spying on me with the help of senior officers of Bengal Police. I suspect that my location is being tracked through my phone number. Mahua has done this before also.
‘She used to spy on Suhan Mukherjee also’
Dehadrai has also accused Mahua of spying on a person named Suhan Mukherjee since 2019. He has written in the letter, ‘Mahua also got the location of a person named Suhan Mukherjee tracked in 2019. The former TMC MP himself had informed me about this. Mahua was then in a relationship with Suhan. He suspected that Suhan was having an affair with a German woman. That’s why Mahua used to get his call details. Whom Suhaan talks to, where he goes, Mahua knew everything.
Mahua has been expelled from Parliament
Let us tell you that Mahua Moitra’s membership has been canceled on charges of taking money in return for asking questions in Parliament. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey had accused Mahua Moitra of asking questions in the Lok Sabha after taking money. Mahua was found guilty in the report of the Ethics Committee of Parliament, after which the proposal for his expulsion was presented in the Lok Sabha on 8 December 2023.
