Kolkata: The dispute between Congress and Trinamool Congress is not stopping in West Bengal. Leaders of both the parties are fiercely attacking each other. However, both the parties are members of the Indian Alliance and talk about contesting the Lok Sabha elections together. But the dispute between the two regarding seat sharing in the state is increasing. The biggest attacker from the Congress side is none other than the party’s state president Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary himself.

This time he attacked Mamata Banerjee and said that you should contest against me in the Lok Sabha elections. Actually, he was speaking in response to Mamata Banerjee’s statement in which Mamta had suggested Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to contest elections from Varanasi against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Referring to his suggestion, Chaudhary said, “You suggested Priyanka Gandhi to contest the elections against the Prime Minister. Now I am challenging you to contest the elections against me this time.”

Choudhary said that Mamata has agreed not to field any candidate from the two Lok Sabha seats of West Bengal, Baharampur and Malda South, where Congress candidates were in the fray in 2019. The state unit of our party is keen to enter into a seat-sharing agreement with the CPI(M)-led Left Front.” West Bengal Congress president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, ”However, the final agreement on alliance or seat sharing is yet to be finalized. The decision will be taken by the party high command. The high command will also decide whether All India Secular Front will be acceptable as an ally there or not.
