There is still little time left for the wave of Lok Sabha elections to begin. However, till now the discussion regarding seat sharing between INDIA, the alliance of opposition parties, has not been finalized. There is a dilemma regarding seat sharing in various states including Maharashtra, Bengal and Punjab. Meanwhile, West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has given great advice to the Congress party. He has clearly stated how many seats Congress should contest.

Congress contested on 300 seats

Mamata Banerjee has said that the fight against BJP in certain areas should be led by regional leaders. He has suggested that Congress can contest 300 Lok Sabha seats independently. Mamta Banerjee also claimed that no one else is giving direct competition to BJP like Trinamool Congress.

Criticism of delay in seat sharing

Addressing a rally held in Kolkata, Mamata said that certain areas should be left for regional parties. Congress alone can contest 300 Lok Sabha seats and I will help them. I will not contest elections on those seats but they are adamant on their point. Without taking names, Mamata has also criticized Congress for delaying talks regarding seat-sharing in the state.

Just going to temple is not enough

Mamta Banerjee said that merely going to the temple is not enough. How many leaders have directly contested the BJP today? Someone went to a temple and thought that was enough, but it is not. I am the only person who went to temple, gurudwara, church and mosque. I have been fighting for a long time. When the structure of Babri Masjid was demolished and violence was taking place, I was still on the streets.
