The violence that has been going on in Manipur for the last several months now seems to be calming down a bit. Central security forces have been deployed on a large scale in the state and accused related to the violence are being arrested. However, meanwhile, Manipur CM N Biren Singh has issued a major advisory for the central security forces. CM Biren Singh has asked the central security forces to inform the state government before carrying out any operation in the state so that the delicate peace situation in the area is not disturbed.
arrest of three people
In fact, security forces had arrested three members of the Pambei faction of the banned National Liberation Front (UNLF) on Wednesday. Manipur CM N Biren Singh was asked questions by reporters on the issue. On this question, Manipur CM said that we do not know the real reason for these arrests. We were told that the arrests were made because of their involvement in the outer area.
The state should be informed first
Manipur CM N Biren Singh did not clarify in his statement what he meant by external area. He said that I have informed the Center that if any arrest is to be made in future, the state should be informed first, because peace talks have become possible after two-three years of hard work.
