Many tickets from MP and Rajasthan finalized in Congress Election Committee meeting – India TV Hindi

New Delhi: Lok Sabha elections are near. Parties have started preparations for the elections. Candidates are also being announced. On one hand, Bharatiya Janata Party has announced the names of its 195 candidates, while Congress has released the list of 39 candidates. The election committee meeting of both the parties was held today on Monday, March 11. Many names have been decided in this meeting. Congress Election Committee meeting was held today at the Central Office. Many big leaders including National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi participated in it.

Discussion regarding seats of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan

During this meeting, the seats of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan were discussed. During this, discussions were held on 15 seats of Rajasthan and out of these, candidates were decided on 12 seats. In this, the name of Ashok Gehlot’s son has been decided from Jalore Lok Sabha seat. Along with this, former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot has said that he will contest the elections. At the same time, Sachin Pilot has also decided to contest the elections. When Sachin Pilot was asked the reason for not contesting the elections, he said that he did not want to be forced to contest the elections.

Chhindwara to Nakulnath ticket fixed

In this meeting, the seats of Madhya Pradesh were also discussed. It was decided that former Chief Ministers of the state Digvijay Singh and Kamal Nath would not contest the elections. Although Digvijay Singh is currently a Rajya Sabha MP. With this, it has been decided that Nakul Nath will contest from Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat. The high command has given its consent on his name. With this, names have been finalized for 11 seats of MP.

Out of the seats discussed in the screening committee today in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, 70 percent were cleared. Whereas in both the states, out of the seats discussed, only 2 to 3 seats have been kept pending. All remaining seats have been cleared. However, their names have not been announced yet. Let us tell you that the party will contest elections on 28 seats in Madhya Pradesh. One seat in the state has been given to SP.
