Amazing photo of melanistic female leopard
A rare melanistic female leopard was seen with her two cubs in the forests of Odisha. One of these is a normal cub and the other is a melanistic cub. IFS officer Sushant Nanda has shared the pictures. He has shared a photo of a melanistic female leopard with her two cubs on ‘X’. He wrote that the sight was amazing, when these two cubs were seen in pairs. Pictures of these leopards were captured in camera traps installed in the forest.
Female cheetah ‘Gamini’ gave birth to 6 cubs
At the same time, in Kuno National Park of Madhya Pradesh, the African female cheetah ‘Gamini’ has given birth to not five, but six cubs. Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav gave this information. He told that a five-year-old female cheetah has given birth to five cubs in Kuno National Park. Bhupendra Yadav said, “Gamini’s legacy lives on! There’s no end to the joy: It’s not five, but six cubs! A week after the news of the birth of five cubs to Gamini, it has now been confirmed that South African cheetah mother Gamini has given birth to six cubs, which is a record of sorts for a female cheetah becoming a mother for the first time.”
Number of leopards in Kuno National Park increased to 27
With this, the number of leopards in Kuno National Park has increased to 27, which includes 14 cubs. In March last year, female cheetah Jwala (Namibian name Siaya) gave birth to four cubs, but only one of them survived. Jwala gave birth to her second four cubs in January this year. After this, Cheetah Asha gave birth to three cubs.
