Orange of heavy rain in 10 states including Haryana-Punjab
IMD Weather Forecast Updates: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain in several north-western states. Heavy rain and snowfall is expected in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh in the next 2-3 days. Although winter is about to end, the cold weather may continue for some more time. Widespread rainfall along with strong winds is expected over Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh. Light to moderate rain along with hailstorm may occur in Rajasthan and Haryana.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain, snowfall and hailstorm during the next 24 hours in many states of the country. The period of rain and snowfall is going to start in the western Himalayan region and the plains of northwest India from the night of 29th February. The Meteorological Department said that there may be heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab. Besides, there is a possibility of 64.5-115.5 mm of snow falling in the hilly states.
Heavy rain and hailstorm may occur at isolated places in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on March 1 and 2. Apart from this, heavy rains with strong winds are expected in Delhi and Madhya Pradesh. Light to moderate rain along with hailstorm may occur in Rajasthan and Haryana. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for this.
