Owaisi angry at ASI.
The report of ASI survey of Gyanvapi Mosque of Varanasi has been made public. There have been many shocking revelations in the survey. Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, representing the Hindu side, said that the ASI has said that a big Hindu temple existed there before the construction of the present structure. This is the conclusive conclusion of ASI. Since the ASI report became public, the issue of Gyanvapi has started heating up. AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi’s statement has also come out on this entire matter.
Owaisi got angry on the report
A part of the ASI report said that the architectural remains, exposed features and artefacts inscriptions, art and sculptures were studied on the basis of scientific study/survey. It can be said that a Hindu temple existed there before the existing structure was built. Responding to this, Owaisi has said that this report will not stand academic scrutiny in front of any group of professional archaeologists or historians. The report is based on speculation and makes a mockery of scientific studies. As a great scholar once said, ASI is a slave of Hindutva.
What was found in the survey?
Advocate Vishnu Shankar, representing the Hindu side, has said that the ASI has said that there are 34 inscriptions where there were pre-existing Hindu temples. This mosque was built by reusing the inscription of what was previously a Hindu temple. Inscriptions have been found in Devanagari, Grantha, Telugu and Kannada scripts. Three names of gods like Janardan, Rudra and Umeshwar are found in these inscriptions. The ASI has said that a large Hindu temple existed there before the current structure was built. This is the conclusive conclusion of ASI.
