Antony is the Congress candidate from Pathanamthitta Lok Sabha seat. He has been representing this seat since 2014.

BJP demanded action

BJP is enraged over the controversial statement given by Congress MP Anto Antony regarding Pulwama attack. The party reacted strongly to Antony’s statement and demanded registration of a case of treason against him. Kerala BJP President K Surendran said the Congress MP has insulted the country by denying Pakistan’s role in the Pulwama terror attack. He said that Antony should be charged with treason and arrested.

Know about Pulwama attack

Let us tell you that on February 14, 2019, terrorists had targeted a CRPF convoy in Pulwama on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway in Jammu and Kashmir, in which about 40 soldiers were killed. In this attack, the name of Jaish-e-Muhammad, a terrorist organization linked to Pakistan, had come to light. In return, India also carried out air strikes on terrorist camps located in Pakistan.
