PM inaugurated Sindri fertilizer plant, said – will make the country self-reliant – India TV Hindi

Sindri: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Jharkhand. Here he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 35,700 crore. Officials have given this information. Let us inform that these projects also include the Sindri Fertilizer Plant of Hindustan Fertilizer and Chemicals Limited (HURL), developed at a cost of more than Rs 8900 crore, which is a step towards self-reliance in the urea sector.

What did PM Modi say?

On this occasion, PM Modi said that this is the beginning of employment for the youth of Jharkhand. Along with this, it is a step taken towards self-reliant India. We resolved to make the country self-reliant in the matter of urea. Due to the efforts of our government, production of urea has increased in the last 10 years. Along with Gorakhpur and Ramagundam, now Sindri’s name has also been added. Today is writing a new chapter of rail revolution in Jharkhand. Many railway projects are starting here today. In the last 10 years, we have worked by keeping the tribal society, poor, youth and women on priority. We have to make India a developed country by 2047.

Self-reliance in urea sector

Let us tell you that this plant will increase the indigenous urea production in the country by about 12.7 LMT (Lakh Metric Ton) per year, which will benefit the farmers of the country. This is the third fertilizer plant to be restarted in the country after the turnaround of fertilizer plants at Gorakhpur and Ramagundam. The fertilizer plants at Gorakhpur and Ramagundam were dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister in December 2021 and November 2022 respectively. Apart from this, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several railway projects worth more than Rs 17,600 crore in Jharkhand. These include the third and fourth lines connecting Son Nagar-Andal, Tori-Shivpur first and second and Biratoli-Shivpur third railway lines (part of the Tori-Shivpur project), Mohanpur-Hansdiha new railway line, Dhanbad-Chandrapura railway line. .

These projects will expand railway services in the state and bring socio-economic development in the region. During the program, the Prime Minister also flagged off three trains, which include the Deoghar-Dibrugarh train service, MEMU train service (daily) between Tatanagar and Badampahar and the commencement of operation of a multi-coach goods train from Shivpur station. Apart from this, the Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation important power projects including North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (STPP), Unit-1 (660 MW) of Chatra in Jharkhand. Developed at a cost of more than Rs 7500 crore, this project will improve power supply in the area. Apart from this, as per the ‘PM Gatishakti Master Plan’, Modi will also inaugurate the North Urimari Coal Handling Plant of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL) in Ramgarh district.
