The BJP on Saturday released the first list of 195 candidates for 16 states and two union territories in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will once again contest from Varanasi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah from Gandhinagar and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh from Lucknow. PM Modi expressed his gratitude to the BJP leadership for once again making him the candidate from Varanasi for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and said that he looks forward to serving the people of Kashi for the third time.
He also said in a series of posts on ‘X’ that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is going to seek votes from the public on the basis of good governance. He also expressed confidence that he will once again get the blessings of the people of the country. He said, “I thank the BJP leadership and salute the crores of selfless party workers for their continued faith in me. I look forward to serving my sisters and brothers of Kashi for the third time.

PM Modi has also congratulated the candidates included in the first list of BJP. He wrote on Twitter, “Our party has announced candidates for some seats and the remaining seats will be announced in the coming days. I congratulate all those who have been nominated as our party’s candidates and wish them all the best.
‘140 crore people will bless us again’
“We are going to the people based on our track record of good governance and ensuring that the benefits of progress reach the poorest of the poor,” the PM wrote. I am sure that the 140 crore people of India will bless us again and give us even more strength to fulfill their aspirations and build a developed India.
