Kirti History shared her painful story

Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the National Creators Award at the Bharat Mandapam on March 8. During this, he also honored a girl from Tamil Nadu with the National Award. The name of this girl is Keerthika Govindasamy, who is known as Keerthi History. Kirti has now shared her story by sharing a post and told how an award has changed her life forever. Kirti has shared a post on her official Instagram profile. In this post, Kirti is seen taking the award from the hands of PM Modi. While sharing the post, he wrote, ‘Something about which I had never even dreamed. When I was 15 years old, I heard my father crying because some people in the village were saying bad things about me. He remained ashamed of me throughout his life.

The hair-raising story of Kirti’s struggle

Kirti wrote, ‘I did not have any boyfriend. I was very good at studying. Then what went wrong? I just wanted to do things on my own. I did not want to depend on the men in my family. Do you know that we girls were not allowed to go to the nearby shop. If I need anything I will have to beg from my brothers. Once I went to a shop which was 100 meters away from my house, for which I was slapped. I had to struggle for basic things. My dream was to become an archaeologist. That’s why I chose history as a subject in my graduation. After graduation, my family members started trying to get me married. I still remember how I cried helplessly that day.

Kirti further wrote, ‘After this, whatever work came in front of me, I kept doing it. I started giving tuition. Also worked as a receptionist. I even worked as an electrician. It took me almost one and a half years to buy a second hand laptop. Papa and I were not talking for full 6 years. How disappointed they were in me. Don’t misunderstand my parents. He did a lot for me. In the village it is not just your parents who take decisions for you. Relatives also play an important role in this. He tried his best to balance things. Tried his best to stand with me. I was a really tough kid.’

Further referring to 2024, Kirti said that the matter is moving forward rapidly in the year 2024. I took him on a plane trip for the first time. He saw that I was getting an award from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I can’t explain this feeling. When I saw him he was on cloud nine. The way he treated me, I won life, I won life. Hopefully, the path will be less fraught with thorns for the girls of the coming generations. Hopefully they will realize that educating your girl does not mean that she will run away with someone. Let them live, let them study.
