Madurai (Tamil Nadu): Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers at the famous Meenakshi Sundareshwar temple here on Tuesday. Dressed in traditional dhoti and kameez, the Prime Minister visited the temple in the evening and offered prayers during his two-day visit to Tamil Nadu. On Modi’s arrival, he was given full Kumbham temple honors by the temple priests, during which he chanted Vedic mantras and presented a shawl to the Prime Minister.

‘Enemies in Kerala, but good friends elsewhere’

Let us tell you that while trying to create an atmosphere in support of BJP in the South before the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday targeted major parties in Kerala and Tamil Nadu including Congress and Left. These southern states are seen as the weak link of BJP. PM Modi said in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday that Congress and Communist parties are enemies of each other in Kerala, but in other states they are ‘BFF’ i.e. ‘evergreen friends’.

‘The opposition has accepted that it will not be able to win the Lok Sabha elections’

PM Modi said that the opposition has accepted that it will not be able to win in the Lok Sabha elections to be held this year, that is why its leaders are adopting the strategy of calling them ‘good and bad’. He said, ‘In Kerala, Congress and Communists are enemies of each other, but in other states they are ‘BFF’. BFF means best friends forever. He said that Congress accused Communist Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of being involved in corruption and scams and termed the Left government as fascist.
