Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today lay the foundation for the development of 553 railway stations in the country. Today is considered a big day for Railways. PM will dedicate 2000 railway infrastructure projects worth more than Rs 41,000 crore to the country today at 12.30 pm. For information, let us tell you that these railway stations are in 27 states and 9 union territories. The PM himself has tweeted this information.
Historic day for railways
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “Today is a historic day for our Railways. At 12:30 pm, 200 railway infrastructure projects worth over Rs 41,000 crore will be dedicated to the nation. To enhance the travel experience, 553 Stations will be inaugurated.” The redevelopment will be done under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The foundation stone of these stations will be laid. Overbridges and underpasses will also be inaugurated across India. These works will further enhance the ‘ease of living’ for the people.”
Gomti Nagar station also inaugurated
For information, let us tell you that emphasis will be laid on providing world class facilities at these railway stations of the country. In this connection, the PM will today lay the foundation stone of the redevelopment program of 553 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Not only this, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the redeveloped Gomti Nagar station in UP at a cost of Rs 385 crore. Keeping in view the increasing number of passengers in future, separate arrangements for arrival and departure have been made at this railway station. This railway station is air conditioned and equipped with modern facilities.
