PM Modi will reply to the motion of thanks on the President’s address in the Lok Sabha today – India TV Hindi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply to the motion of thanks to the President’s address in the Lok Sabha today. On January 31, the first day of the budget session, President Draupadi Murmu addressed the joint meeting of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party has issued a three-line whip to all its MPs in the Lok Sabha to remain present in the lower house on the fourth day of the ongoing budget session.

House business list

As per the business list of the House, Lok Sabha MPs Ravneet Singh and Ram Shiromani Verma will table the minutes of the twelfth meeting of the Committee on Absence of Members from the House sittings. On 14 December 2023, MPs PP Choudhary and NK Premachandran will present the 28th Report of the Committee on Foreign Affairs (Seventeenth Lok Sabha) on the subject ‘Combating Global Terrorism at the Regional and International Level’.

Rajiv Chandrashekhar will give statement

BJP MP Rajeev Chandrashekhar will make a statement regarding the status of implementation of the recommendations contained in the 49th Report of the Standing Committee on Labour, Textiles and Skill Development on ‘Functioning of the Directorate General of Training’ relating to the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the details (Hindi and English versions) of estimated receipts and expenditure of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for the year 2024-25.

Discussion on motion of thanks on President’s address in Rajya Sabha

Discussion on the motion of thanks on the President’s address will resume in the Rajya Sabha. MPs Ashok Kumar Mittal and Prakash Javadekar will lay on the Table a copy (in English and Hindi) of the Twenty-eighth Report of the Department. The concerned Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs will present a report in the House today on the subject ‘Combating Global Terrorism at the Regional and International Level’. Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav will introduce the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Amendment Bill, 2024 in the Rajya Sabha today to amend the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. This is expected to be the last session before the Lok Sabha elections. There will be eight meetings over a period of 10 days, held in April-May this year and likely to end on February 9.
